In May, 2010 I graduated from UNB’s M.Ed program. My area of specialization is Instructional Design. My cumulative GPA in this program is 4.1 (A+).
2007 – 2008: Bachelor of Education, St Thomas University, Fredericton, NB
In July, 2008 I graduated from St. Thomas University’s one-year B.Ed program. My cumulative GPA in this program is 3.7 (A-). This program included a total of 15 weeks of field placements at local secondary schools. I am certified to teach English and Social Studies to middle and high school students in the province of New Brunswick.

In 2001 I graduated from St Thomas University with a B.A. My major subject was
English and I completed a minor in Philosophy. My cumulative GPA in this program is 3.4 (A-). In my final year of my program I appeared on the Dean’s List for academic achievement.

I am a tenure-track faculty member with the Department of Open Learning and Innovations at TRU. My specific job title is Coordinator, Educational Technologies.
My role involves supporting faculty development and providing technical support for a wide range of learning technologies including, but not limited to:

- Pressbooks, Open Texts, and Open Educational Resources (OER’s)

I also designed and delivered a 10-week program of faculty professional development Technology for Teaching and Learning at TRU. Completion of this program allowed participants to apply for an exemption within BC’s Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP) course PIDP 3240: Media Enhanced Learning:

I worked as a Faculty Development Officer with UOIT.
My job at UOIT involved:
- Designing, implementing and supporting faculty development and mentorship programs for faculty through workshops seminars and individual consultations;
- Delivering specific programs/sessions concerning active learning and student engagement using information and communication technologies in laptop/classroom settings;
- Offering individual consultation to faculty regarding the learning management system and educational technologies;
- Participating in University committees concerned with teaching and learning and the effective use of instructional technologies;
- Participating in the transformation of learning as it pertains to new and innovative teaching and learning strategies both in the classroom and in the online environment.

From Fall 2009 until Winter 2011, I worked as a writing tutor at the college’s Advanced Writing Centre (AWC).
My responsibilities at the AWC included holding one-on-one conferences with students to improve performance on writing assignments, designing and delivering creative writing workshops for the general public, and serving as the lead for administration of AWC’s records in the WC Online application and also in Microsoft SharePoint.
In Fall 2012 I was appointed Lead Instructor – Communications. My primary responsibility within this role was to provide support regarding curricular and pedagogical matters for CM Instructors. I was also responsible for the design and development of new Communications curriculum, as well as the modification of existing curriculum. While in this role I helped faculty members make use of Web 2.0 applications and also the D2L Learning Management System to add blended learning to course delivery.
2014- present: University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, New Brunswick
I hold a multi-year appointment (MYA) to teach ED 6228 Designing Instructional Materials (online) to graduate (M.Ed) students. This is a fully online course taught using the D2L system. I have also taught ED 4113 Introduction to Distance Learning in Adult Education.
2016- 2017: University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta
I taught EDER 669.73 L06: Language Teaching and Technology, as well as EDER 679.32: Emerging Media. These courses were taught online using D2L and Adobe Connect.
